IOI Highlight!

Normally I don't do profiles or highlights of groups until they are at least 4 years old, and then I do a throwback on their entire career. BUT IOI is a project group that won't last longer than a year so I decided that I would do a profile for them!

IOI debuted on May 4, 2016 with their mini album Chrysalis which featured the title track, "Dream Girls" as well as the song "Crush" from Produce 101 finale.


After promoting together it was revealed on May 27, 2016 that the girls will start promoting as sub units and solos.

Following this announcement members Kim Sejeong, Kang Mina, Yu Yeunjung and Jung Chaeyeon would be returning to their own companies. Sejeong and Mina have debuted in girl group gugudan while Chaeyeon has rejoined girl group DIA for their June comback. Yu Yeunjung will become the 13th member of girl group Cosmic Girls.

The rest of the members will continue promoting as IOI's subunit with the release of a second album.

I will continue to update further on this group...also Chungha has the same birthday as me :O.....

IOI's subunit consisting of Lim Nayoung, Kim Chungha, Pinky, Kim Sohye, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, and Somi have released their new single, "Whattta Man (Good a Man)", on August 9th. The song is inspired by Linda Lyndell's What A Man and choreographed by Chungha.



On October 14th, 2016, music video for "Very Very Very" was released. This title track is for their second and final full album "Miss Me?" and features the whole group. The song was composed by JYP and he also oversaw the music video production.


It has been revealed that this album is their final promotions together before disbanding. The trainees will return to their respective agencies and groups after this.
The disbandment date has been set for January 31st, they will have a solo concert entitled Time Slip and final promotions before disbanding.

On January 17th they released their final comeback single "Downpour", a ballad written by Seventeen's Woozi.
