So it's been really hectic with work and so even though I have been sort of keeping up with Kpop I have not been able to keep up with the blog. Usually, I do a highlight of three songs but since it's been awhile I want to highlight a couple of new songs that I had enjoyed. So prepare yourself for a long list.
What Time Is It Now? - Viction
Viction is the new boy goup from company Plan A who houses Apink. They debuted this year with the cute concept song "I'm Fine" but I've always been a bigger fan of the bad boy image so I enjoyed "What Time is it Now?" a lot more.
Fanfare - SF9
SF9 debuted slightly before Pentagon and although I enjoyed both songs I liked Gorilla a little bit more because of how addictively catchy it was and the high notes. This is still a fantastic song though and that's why I have highlighted it here today!
Confession - Astro
One of the few cute boy groups that I actually like. This song is so adorable and still has great vocals.
Lollipop -IMFACT
IMFACT's comeback prompted me to check out their debut song. I wasn't expecting to like this song because I don't like cute concepts as much however, this song is not cute. It has a lot of sexual innuendos and topless guys and I can appreciate that as a straight member of the opposite sex.
Oh NaNa - K.A.R.D
This co-ed group that just released a song has a very good song and I like it. I'm interested to see where they go in the future. The video could have done with some more story though. Above is live performance.
Boombayah - BlackPink
And of course I can't forget YG's new banging group Boombayah! I like these girls they are pretty and cute and expect great things from them!
Ok that's all for highlighting some new groups today. Maybe I'll come back tomorrow and restart the three a day song posts!
Wow life got the better of me. Mostly work so I have been away from the kpop scene for quite awhile. I'm spending the next couple of days catching up. But omg Pentagon has finally debuted!!! I have been anticipating them all year! I loved pentagon maker and now they are finally here!
So of course I will include them in my song of the days.
Gorilla - Pentagon
Omg I can't pick a bias! Like always cube rocked the debut! Now let's see if this time they can keep the momentum!
Home-Ailee ft. Yoon Mirae
My girl Ailee had a comeback so of course I have to support! I love the song as usual and totally digging it!
Better Day - 100%
This group is lesser known so they are my highlight for the day. This song has some pretty solid vocals and the MR removed of this song is really good. I don't really pay attention to them much but they definitely have talent and deserve more limelight!
After exactly a month of not posting I am finally done my exams and will now have some free time. How much of this free time will be spent on this blog instead of pokemon go though is another issue. I think I already plan to go to school tomorrow for the sole reason of pokemon hunting so...
My Taiyaki turned out pretty well as well as the dangos. The Taiyaki was the best it just tastes like a slightly sweet batter and chocolate. The sauce for the dangos was good too.
I also did another package a couple weeks later.
These takoyaki's did not taste like the real thing and did not taste good overall. The flavours were trying to be true to reality. Those octopus pieces were salty...which was really weird. I honestly think they should have just made it candy flavoured. The mayonnaise tastes like mayonnaise and the sauce was a sweet caramalized chemically soy sauce.
And now for a random picture:
That's me making a derp face with green tea mochi...which I really want so I'm going to go buy some tomorrow...and maybe some sushi...and maybe some raman...lol
In my fears that BEAST will also disband because it seems that we are coming to the end of the 2nd generation of Kpop, I wanted to do this highlight and throwback on them before it became too late. It already hurts to see what happened with Hyeunseung and I am scared that by the time I get this throwback done, the group itself will be done.

After much controversy and a difference in musical taste Hyunseung left Beast in April 2016. The group decided to continue as a 5 member group. Later that year, they released their third full length album "Highlight" with title track "Ribbon".
Beast departed from Cube entertainment in 2016 and rebranded as a group known as Highlight!
On March 20, 2017 Highlight releases their ninth mini album (the first as Highlight) "Can You Feel It?" with title track "Plz Don't Be Sad" and pre-release "It's still Beautiful".
Normally I don't do profiles or highlights of groups until they are at least 4 years old, and then I do a throwback on their entire career. BUT IOI is a project group that won't last longer than a year so I decided that I would do a profile for them!

The rest of the members will continue promoting as IOI's subunit with the release of a second album.
I will continue to update further on this group...also Chungha has the same birthday as me :O.....
IOI's subunit consisting of Lim Nayoung, Kim Chungha, Pinky, Kim Sohye, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, and Somi have released their new single, "Whattta Man (Good a Man)", on August 9th. The song is inspired by Linda Lyndell's What A Man and choreographed by Chungha.

On January 17th they released their final comeback single "Downpour", a ballad written by Seventeen's Woozi.
In light of the recent scandals, I thought I would look back at G.NA's career. She was a great singer that just lost the limelight. I hope that she will still be able to continue singing after what has happened and if not...well let's appreciate what she has done so far.
Debuted: 2010
Group Number: Solo
Company: None (Ex-member of Good Entertainment and Cube Entertainment)
G.NA
Birthday: September 13, 1987
Height: 168 cm
Weight: 47 kg
Notes: Currently Embroiled in a Prostitution Scandal
Originally, G.NA was supposed to debut as the leader of a girl group by Good Entertainment in 2007 but plans fell through when Good Entertainment started having financial troubles. All member left the company to join other companies. G.NA signed under Cube Entertainment and released a duet with Rain entitled "If You Want A Lover/ Things I Want To Do When I Have A Lover" in 2010.
She also debuted with her first mini album "Draw G's First Breath". The song "Black and White" from this album became a hit in 2011.
Her second mini album entitled "Top Girl" released in 2011 didn't do quite as well, peak charting at 4th place.
In 2012, her third mini album entitled, "Bloom", did a little better with hit song "2HOT".
In 2013, she released her fourth mini album "Beautiful Kisses" had the title song "Oops" which featured BTOB's ilhoon along with members of CLC and other trainees in the music video.
In 2014, G.NA released her single "Pretty Lingerie", G.NA's popularity had declined massively.
In 2015, G.NA joined variety girl group Chamsonyeo from Hitmaker that labelmate Yook Sungjae had previously joined. The group which includedYoungji (Kara), Lizzy (After School) and Sohyun (4minute) released the song "Magic Words".
Despite her achievements, many fans felt like G.NA was being kept in the closet and not promoted well. G.NA ultimately decided to leave Cube Entertainment when her contract expired in March 2016. Shortly after she became involved in a prostitution scandal.
After getting really into Produce 101 of course I have to get hook into Cube's newest boy group survival show???(pending) Pentagon Maker.
So I thought I should do a featuring on the boys and thoughts about each of them.
Sorry I haven't posted for awhile but school has been hella hectic currently.
Jo Jinho
Birthday: April 17, 1992
Height: 168 cm
Weight: 52 kg
Position: Main Vocal
Notes: Ex-SM Trainee, speaks Chinese and English
I freaking love Jinho. His massive fanbase is well deserved. This guy has been training for EIGHT years and definitely deserves to debut! His vocals are just to die for. Can we also talk about his English skills? I loved his performance as part of team Kino in round 1. I don't like Justin Bieber but that song was great recovered by Jinho.
Lee Hwitaek
Stage name: Hui
Birthday: August 28, 1993
Height: 173 cm
Weight: 57 kg
Position: Leader
Notes: Auditioned at JYP and Won First for Vocals in 2010
Hui has that mischievous leader quality that is very similar to Eunkwang. I think he will be a very good leader and he has amazing vocal abilities. Sometimes I feel that his ideas for showcasing his skills, whether dancing or vocal, are lacking. He seems to like to be unique at the cost of losing some of the essential main points of the song. This is something he can work on. I'm looking forward to what he will do in the future.
Yang Hongseok
Birthday: April 17, 1994
Height: 180 cm
Weight: 64 kg
Position: Vocalist
Notes: Ex-YG Trainee, competed in Mix-and-Match, speaks Chinese and English
Hongseok seems a little bit reserved, probably because this is his second survival show and from what I heard he had some evil editing done by Mnet. This might be why he is a little afraid to show himself. Either way his motherly nature makes him very adorable. I feel like his vocals and dance are a little weak compared to some of the others but his recent 1 on 1 changed that a bit for me. Either way I hope he doesn't fail again, I seriously doubt it with the voting of his previous fans, and I look forward to see what he can bring to the group in the future. P.S. he looks sexy in glasses.
Kim Hyojung
Stage name: E'Dawn
Birthday: June 1, 1995
Height: 174 cm
Weight: 60 kg
Position: Main Rapper
Notes: Auditioned for JYP final round 2012
Haven't seen much from Edawn yet. He seems to be very skilled at rapping but I don't think he faired well taking the leadership role for that one round. I don't think the missions so far have shown much of his talent and his personality seems pretty reserved. I guess I have to wait and see what he's like. Very Junhyung'ish in his silent composer swag style.
Ko Shinwon
Birthday: December 11, 1995
Height: 184 cm
Weight: 68 kg
Position: vocalist
Notes: short-tempered
Again another member that hasn't really shine on the show. We've rarely seen his skills although he does seem to be hilariously and easily afraid of things. We do know that he's very skilled at the piano and even composes some of his own songs. He seems to fit into that talented, mystery man vibe. Also we know that he has a short-temper which was enjoyable to watch when the members teased him.
Yeo Changgu
Stage name: YeoOne
Birthday: March 27, 1996
Height: 179 cm
Weight: 60 kg
Position: Vocalist
Notes: Previously modeled with Hyuna
Changgu seems like a caring sweet heart. He has a very nice vocal tone and seems to be the more intelligent, confident one. He has some natural leadership qualities and gives off a very knowledgeable vibe. Also I ship him with Yanan hardcore. He's already amassed himself a good fanbase too.
Yanan
Birthday: October 25, 1996
Height: 186 cm
Weight: 70 kg
Position: Vocalist
Notes: From China, Traditional Chinese Instrumenta
The underdog of the show, Yanan is a cutey. He calls himself stupid all the time and has his own catchphrase "annyeong chingudeul" Even though he only started with a score of 2 in vocal and rap his vocal tone is actually very sweet and nice to listen to. His cute adventures are also adorable to watch. He's definitely whittled his way into my heart.
Adachi Yuto
Birthday: January 23, 1998
Height: 182 cm
Weight: 63 kg
Position: Rapper
Notes: From Japan
Known to be the emotionless one, when he cried from video message from his mother my nuna heart leapt forward. I wanted to hug the poor baby. I've always felt his deep rapper voice was very charming and I think the kpop scene is lacking some Japanese idols. His emotionless makes his smile very charming. A Leo 2.0 but with more emotions. I can't wait to see him grow and I really hope he gets to debut for his and his mother's sake.
Kang Hyunggu
Stage Name: Kino
Birthday: January 27, 1998
Height: 177 cm
Weight: 62 kg
Position: Main Dancer, Vocalist
Notes: Choreographs
Kino is a sweet-heart and I never realized how young he was because he was always more mature than the other maknaes. His choreographing and natural leadership skills are great. I can't wait to see more from him. I can already forsee that he will be the Kikwang 2.0 with the hordes of fangirls.
Jung Wooseok
Birthday: January 31, 1998
Height: 188 cm
Weight: Unknown
Position: Rapper, Maknae
Notes: Dubbed the Giant Maknae
What can I say, I have a thing for Maknae's. He's the giant maknae. He's cute and hilarious and is definitely going down the evil maknae route with his height. (what is up with cube and having the maknae's be the tallest member?) Anyways, his rapping skills are great too and I think that I can't wait to see him grow and mess with his hyungs.
They debuted on October 10th of 2016 with a banging song titled Gorilla!
For Valentine's day I was going to do a throwback to the band F.T.Island but I got busy being lonely so I'm doing it today!

F.T. Island debuted on June 7, 2007 with the song Love Sick from their album Cheerful Sensibility.
Also the dramatic song Thunder
There second Korean album titled Colorful Sensibility released in August 2008 featured songs such as After Love
In their follow up epilogue album that year entitled Colorful Sensibility Part Two, they released the dramatic song Heaven
In 2009 Oh Won Bin decided to leave the group and was replaced by FNC then-trainee Song Seung-hyun. They then released the song Bad Woman from their first mini album Jump Up.
In the same year they released their third album Cross & Change with the music video for I Hope. (This is around the time I started liking them)
This same year while members Hong Ki and Song-Hyeun were away, the remaining members dubbed FT Triple released a single entitled Love Letter with bassist Lee Jaejin as the main vocalist.
After becoming more popular abroad, FT Island returned to Korea in August 2010 to release mini album Beautiful Journey with title song Love Love Love
After gaining extreme popularity in both Taiwan and Japan, so much so they were named the highest earning artists of 2010, they returned to Korea with a mini album named Return in 2011 and a fast-paced rock song called Hello Hello
For 2012, they released fourth mini album Grown-Up and title song Severely. The album sold out in ten days.
That same year they released their Fourth Studio Album, Five Treasure Box, with title song I Wish.
As thanks to their fans in 2013 they released their mini album Thanks To filled with self composed songs including Memory composed by Hongki.
Later that year they released their fifth mini album The Mood with title song Madly.
In 2015 after a long hiatus they released their first fully self-composed album I Will with title song Pray.
Later that year Lee Hongki had a solo debut with Korean Mini Album FM302 and title song Insensible with a music video featuring Park Shin Hye who he had previously work with on You're Beautiful.
Ok so it might seem like I haven't been active but there are a lot of unpublished posts that I'm just finishing up. But I decided to go back to doing my daily-ish kpop recommendations...
Mansae - Seventeen
With Seventeen's new comeback I decided to rewatch this old bop.
Stitches (Cover) - Eric Nam Ft. Sungha Jung
Eric Nam's voice is always amazing combined with Sungha Jung's amazing guitar skills, honestly this new company is doing him so much better than before.
Domino Game - Kiss & Cry
It's so unfortunate that this power house had to disband. This is still one of my favourite songs to this day. Luckily one member has joined a new group so hopefully she will find more success there.
Just choosing three songs is so difficult each time I do this I remember other songs I want to add. For example some new comebacks and other underated songs/performances.
Sorry guys, I've kind of busy with school and things.
The song that I've been humming all day is:
Heart Attack - AOA
In light of her new scandal and the possibility of her career dying, I want to remember some of G.NA's greatest. I hope the rumour isn't true and even if it is I hope people don't persecute her for doing something that she felt like she needed to do.
I'll Back Off So You Can Live - G.NA
And the last song today will be...
Butterfly - Henry (Super Junior M)
Because it randomly played on my ipod even though I didn't touch it...lol
So I've been following Produce 101 as it slowly has been airing. And I just watched the third ep so let me rant a little. I like Somi, I think she's pretty and I think she's talented but I think there are a lot of girls in Produce 101 that are better than her. There is a reason why she fell down to Group B. It pisses me off that the voting for the group battles was still essentially a popularity contest. I mean the contestants themselves were saying that the group with Somi in it was going to win regardless. That's an awful thought. The votes are so bias that we all know that Somi is definitely going to get a spot even if she drops down to Group F! On that note. The first group that did "Into the New World" was amazing but I know they won't win against Somi's popularity so it is really disheartening. I just hope that amazing vocalist doesn't get eliminated. Also Chanmi is really annoying me, but I don't know if its the editing or just her. From day one when she chose to sit on the number one chair I felt like she was way to overconfident. She was on a show where everyone was so humble but she acted so above everyone. Yea sure she could have been in SNSD and other groups but there is a reason why she DIDN'T debut. This show is sort of letting me see why. I hope that my opinion of her will change later.
As far as the Jellyfish ladies, I like Kim Se jeong but that's it. The other two don't really do anything for me sorry.
Current Contestants I'm Interested In
She is so cute and tiny. I love her. She may not be a stunning beauty but she definitely gives me a Hyuna/ ClC's Yeeun vibe. I guess this is just Cube Ent. liking the cute rapper styles.
Initially thought their group was really annoying and overconfident but they had the vocals to back it up! Also Se Jeong was a great leader to her group and a good teacher to the actress girl. She really takes care of people well and I think that I like her over the other two jellyfish trainees who aren't really leaving an impression on me.
She did an amazing job as the main vocalist in the group battle of Into the New World. I'm really angry that her group didn't win. They fit the image better and sung better in my opinion. Anyways, I'm a new fan of hers an hopefully she won't get eliminated.
For now these are the ladies that are standing out to me. We'll see how I feel after episode four.

Kracie Poppin' Cooking stuff is really cool and I got my hand on a couple of them. Here are pictures of my creations!
